The Song DVD Blu-ray – REVIEW and GIVEAWAY! #SeeTheSong
Disclaimer: I was provided a press copy of The Song! Review written by hubby.

Usually a good test for a movie is popping over to Rotten Tomatoes and checking into it’s rating. That lead to some head scratching with regards to “The Song.” While critics panned it, the audience really seemed to like it, so then I watched and I liked it which made me look further into the critic ratings. A movie can be faith based, based on scripture and good. Many of these critics seem to think the Bible isn’t good enough for their hard earned money, and that’s kind of sad.
“The Song”, inspired by The Song of Solomon follows Jed as he struggles to emerge from his fathers shadows and make it as a country singer. After meeting his wife and the day following their wedding penning a song for her he achieves the success he had been striving for.
After achieving everything he had wanted through his marriage to Rose, his fame presented opportunity and temptation that caused problems. A movie about a mans rise and fall and rebirth. Good movie, good enough acting, and wonderful performing. You’ll enjoy this movie!
DVD extras include a Director’s Commentary, Meet the Cast and a fascinating feature called King Solomon on Screen: Adapting the Story. There’s also an in depth look at Love, Sex & Marriage with Kyle Idleman and a feature that dissects the Metaphors and Poetry in “The Song.”
“The Song” released on DVD on February 10th!
