When the producers from Harry Potter create a new movie based on another novel, your heart melts with excitement for some fun entertainment. I Kill Giants is in select theaters and On Demand, find it on iTunes. The movie is an all woman cast that is about finding strength in yourself and dealing with bullying.

As a mom of two girls, it is important for me to make sure my girls know that they can do and be whatever they want in life. It is important to me that they have the confidence to stand up to bullies. It is also important to me that they use their imagination in play and storytelling.

I pray and hope that I live my life as a strong example to my girls. Life is tough and it is how we live it and the decisions that we make that impact our future. My girls have had to see me go through supporting our family with two jobs for two years and now see us succeeding with a new house and even a trip to Disneyland. They understand the meaning of work hard and play hard.

I am excited to watch this movie and I am especially excited to give one lucky reader an awesome prize pack that includes the book and some money to take your family to the film.

  32. My daughter’s birth mother inspires me. We adopted her early this year after getting to know her family. We had met and become friends years ago while my husband served in their country. When we found out we couldn’t have children, my daughter’s mother came to us and asked us to take her daughter. They were quite poor and were at the difficult crossroads of placing her in an orphanage … since our daughter has been with us, her birth mother has been amazing. Never does she regret her choice. She stays in contact, ensuring her daughter is well, always encouraging her to embrace her new family but know she is still loved by her old family. I don’t think I’d have it in me to be as generous as she. She is the kind of mother I hope to be.
