Did you know that Princess Merida is one of my favorite Disney Princesses to teach my daughter about! Why? Because she is independent! I am not saying to teach your little ones not to be dependent because I believe every strong relationship requires two people to both depend on each other with ultimate trust!
Now, since my daughter is 3, our conversations are NOT this deep! LOL! Brave is SUCH a great movie! Disney does an amazing JOB at bringing in the MAGIC and Dreams of a Princess AND remembers the modern world!
If you are purchasing Disney Brave I am going to HIGHLY suggest that you score the combo pack! You will get a Blu-Ray disc, DVD, AND Digital! PLUS the bonus features are PACKED with good stuff!
I was provided the 5 disc combo to review and it was amazing! You really want the state of the art technology to bring this to life!
My favorite features would include the short films: La Luna AND The Lenend of Mor’du, Angus (learn more about Merida’s horse), and SO MUCH MORE!! Hours and Hours! I am not even close to getting through all of it!
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.
Disclaimer: I was provided this movie to review and this was in NO way affecting my opinion of this movie or product! DEFINITELY, a GREAT gift idea and fun for the whole family!!!
