If you enjoy entering sweepstakes and giveaways, you need to be sure you have one important skill:
Patience: Even if you win sweepstakes when you first start entering, the likelihood of it happening often is slim to none, so you have to be patient and enter lots of giveaways and sweepstakes to improve your chances of winning.
Also realize that a positive attitude is a plus, because it can get discouraging if you aren’t winning sweepstakes but are entering them often. Using social media to earn extra entries into giveaways is a great way to increase your chances!
How to Enter Sweepstakes and Giveaways
Many giveaways hosted on blogs use Rafflecopter. Others use Giveaway Tools, while some use third-party Facebook applications. Entering giveaways by using Rafflecopter is really easy, and is becoming more and more popular among sweepstakes junkies. It’s the fastest way to gain multiple entries all at once, and is easy to check back on the website to see who the winner was (as long as the creator chooses one and posts it).
Staying Organized
Create a separate email address to use to enter giveaways and sweepstakes. Sometimes you will end up on a mailing list – or you will sign up for email updates as an extra entry – and you don’t want your email box full of stuff you may never read, anyway.
Using a spreadsheet or Google Doc to stay organized is a good idea, or you can use a notebook but that’s a lot of writing! 🙂 If you use a spreadsheet, you can list the date the giveaway ends, what the prize is, and any other information you find important, and then organize by date, blog, or amount of the giveaway/sweepstakes. How you organize is completely up to you, because each person finds a different way the easiest.
