Are you from Kansas City and looking for something fun to do this summer with the kids? Maybe you aren’t from Kansas City but close enough to either a Legoland or Sea Life! Be sure to check out their schedule because we are about to have a Turtle Fest & Octonauts are coming! They are having some themed weekend, events, and even summer programs!
SeaLife and Legoland are both perfect trips for not only the kids but for grownups too. You can spend a lot of time going through each them. Repetitive visits are also fun because there is always something new to find or do each visit.
This Saturday at Sea Life: Turtle Fest Turtle Education Day! Take your family to Sea Life as turtles beggin to flood the aquarium! Don’t worry, they are going at turtle-speed but they aren’t going to be there long! Sea Life partnered with Lakeside Nature Center and Anity B. Gorman Discovery Center t bring various types of turtles to raise awareness.
You can see tons of cool things like an African Spurred Tortoise, Musk Turtle, Red-Eared Sliders (I don’t even know what a turtle ear looks like!), Ornate Box Turtle, and MORE! Upcoming Sea Life Events:
–>The Octonauts are coming!!! So yeah! I am so excited for this! I am excited for turtles too but seriously…the Octonauts!
–>Sea Life will also be having a Summer Camp! They will start on the 16th and happen each week. They are $250 for each child. Summer camps will have the following schedule.
• Monday – Eels and Other Strange Fish
• Tuesday – Octopus and Relatives
• Wednesday – Sharks and Relatives
• Thursday – Crabs and Arthropods
• Friday – Day in the Life of an Aquarist
