Hold on to your hats, folks! The Marvel Cinematic Universe just expanded by a lot! And by a lot, I mean- A LOT! The new movie Eternals gives us TEN new superheroes! TEN! That’s 10 new superheroes to learn (obsess) about. Ten new actors to suit up in latex. 10 new good guys that will surely mingle with our old favorites! So exciting!

Marvel Eternals Review - 10 New Superheroes!

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about the plot- 10 (Did I mention that there were 10?) Eternals were put on Earth to protect humans from the deviants (don’t worry, they’re gone- mostly) and to nudge humanity’s progress. This noble group of warriors is led by the wise (and lovely) Ajak (Salma Hayek). Her fellow Eternals are the earth-loving Sersi (Gemma Chan), fearless Thena (Angelina Jolie), fun-loving Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), mischievous Sprite (Lia McHugh), inventor extraordinaire Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Proud Ikaris (Richard Madden), fast and fierce Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), king of the mind games Druig (Barry Keoghan), and strongman/beer maker Gilgamesh (Don Lee). The cast is rounded out by Harish Patel as Karun and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman.

Eternals is directed by Chloé Zhao (HOT off of her 2021 Oscar for Nomadland!). She makes an oversized splash in the MCU! The movie teases, among other things, that the Eternals will return, so I expect to see this Academy Awared winning director around. And yes, there are teasers at the end of the movie. This is a Marvel film, of course. The number you should look for is the numerical amount of the Eternals and subtract 8. That’s how many you’ll get.

This movie is in theaters only so grab the kids (It is rated PG-13 and the monsters are a wee bit scary) and go see Eternals. You gotta get ready for the next Marvel movie or TV show!!

Eternals is now playing in theaters!
