67 Elf on the Shelf Idea

Let your elf participate in the 6 or 7 trend with a simple print of this countdown that can actually be used ANY time before Christmas because it is funny!
At the bottom of this post, you can print out this printable, and I am totally okay if you cut the watermark off at the bottom; that is why it is there.
You could place your elf with this countdown anywhere in the house for a good laugh. Feel free to print it six or seven times in different sizes for even more silliness and fun!
If you already have a Christmas countdown, you could place your elf next to it and even edit the 6 or 7 on it! Have fun! This is an easy one this year!
Where did Elf on the Shelf come from?
The Elf on the Shelf is based on a kids’ book and gained popularity over the years with a fun tradition for young kids. Purchasing the book and an elf (that you don’t touch) begins the tradition.
You read the book to your young kids, and it tells the story of your elf leaving every night to go to the North Pole. When your elf appears the next day, its personality starts to show by doing some silly things to wake up to.
If you want a super fun tradition, you can purchase the book straight from Amazon with an elf!

Where did the 67 trend come from?
“Nobody knows,” is what most people will say when you ask this question. It is actually from a song, and then the audio became popular across social media.
It actually means “this or that”. The trend is that once someone says it, everyone repeats it and makes the up and down motion with their hands.
It is silly, and most teachers would tell you it is annoying. If you are a millennial, we had our own annoying shoutouts at that age too: “Whaaaaazupppp,” and “I am Rick James, ***.” I guess we can’t complain because we might have been worse.
