Baby Yoda SVG for Cricut

Are you looking for a Baby Yoda SVG?  When he first appeared to the world as “The Child” there was nothing out there so I created this file for crafting purposes.  You can now make items on your Cricut for personal use and gifts for friends and family. This post contains affiliate links at no cost to you.

“Baby Yoda” is a character from the Disney+ television series “The Mandalorian,” which is set in the “Star Wars” universe.  His real name is “Grogu”!

You can also turn your image into an adorable cute Cricut Magnetic Sign for your Classroom!

The character is a member of the same alien species as the character Yoda, who appeared in several “Star Wars” films. The show first premiered on November 12, 2019.

“Baby Yoda” character became instantly popular among fans and the media and remains one of the most popular character in the series

Baby Yoda SVG for Cricut

If you don’t have Disney+ and aren’t watching The Mandalorian, you missed out on Disney’s number one trending character, Baby Yoda.  We don’t really know IF he is Baby Yoda, but that is definitely the name that the internet has currently given him.  There is lots of speculation on if he is Yoda’s baby but nobody knows yet.  Creating a Baby Yoda SVG to make a onesie and make myself my own printables and shirt was a must-have using my Cricut machine!

You may use my image for personal use only.  By using it, you understand that you will not republish the images or screenshots of the images on any other website or social channels without a written position. You may share the link to this website.  We aren’t selling the image or the time it took to draw the image, but we do ask that share this blog post.

When using the image for print and cut, you will want to use heavy cardstock, like the 110 lb Neenah cardstock.  We created Baby Yoda as a cutout!

He would make an adorable Baby Yoda Decal too!  Use the Cricut printable sticker paper in white.

The first item I made was this cute little pink baby onesie!  I used Cricut Black Everyday Iron which you can usually find on sale at Cricut.com.  I added the link “Cute, I am” to the onesie! I added it to a Gerber onesie.

Removable Vinyl color choices:

If you are looking to make a vinyl (removable) Baby Yoda here are the colors that I would use:

Harbor Collection has a great collection of greens! Then the Urban Collection has the perfect brown and pink if you want to do his jacket in brown (I would actually do brown over the green to get a good contrast)!

Permanent Vinyl color choices:

Permanent Vinyl Colored Yoda:  Black, Lime (Yoda), Forest and Kelly Green (green outfit) or Suntan and Bracken (brown outfit), I’d make his ears Tulip.  Each of these colors can be found in the list of Cricut Premium Vinyl.

Iron on color choices:

Baby Yoda Green can be found in the Grasslands Collections. Then I would make his jacket in two shades using  Cricut Everyday Iron On in the colors called Beige and Parchment and I would use blush as the pink.  For his eyes, I’d use tiny white scraps in regular or glitter and just overlap them at the end of the iron-on.

Many of you were asking about layering. I actually layered him using cardstock and just several different PNG files that I uploaded one at a time.

Once I uploaded all of the files I went and cut them all on their respective colors. You can watch my video on how I did this by visiting me on TikTok.

Here are the individual file layers:

Bottom layer outline.
Outfit layer
Yoda green layer
Ear layer
Eye layer (hard to see white on white so just right click and save it).

    So funny story, I saw your post on Cricut Design Space and loved your Baby Yoda svg, I googled to see if I could find one elsewhere and found your blog! I would love to snag it to make something for my best friend who is obsessed with him. When I clicked on your svg link however, I got an error message, “403 Forbidden.” Any idea why that happened?     1. It should DL in a compress file. Try using an updated browser on a computer and not on mobile.

  17. So I am still new to cricut. When I put this on to my canvas to cut it, it’s like 9 mats. I see the different colors, but is there an easy way to put it together??? Help!

    1. Yes…select the layers you want on the same cut and you can merge those. I hope that helps. I cut the PNG version and plan to create a layered version soon.

  22. I guess I’m a REAL beginner. I downloaded the svg and it came to my Cricut on 8 mats, but the colors aren’t coordinated, and I don’t have the black outline. I tried to watch you on TikTok, but there’s no option to search for you. Can you provide a link?

    1. I attached each layer as a PNG on this post to make it easy. I would just save each colored layer (4) and then cut it!

  24. Hey. I am brand new to cricut. And i love your yoda design. Is there a way i can use the black and white design to print on sticker paper, and then cut the outline of in on my cricut?

  25. I tried to save the outline image from the post, however, it gave me the full color image. when you click all the color out except black, it shows all the pieces. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong.

    1. Right click on the image and select “Save Image As” the black and white is a PNG with transparent background.
