28 Weeks Baby Bump Update!
I finally made it to my 3rd Trimester and I am 28 weeks today! Next week I will be going to my regular doctor’s appointment and take the fun and exciting (insert sarcasm face) glucose test. This will be the first time I have had to have blood drawn since my last pregnancy and I am terrified of needles.
I am not exaggerating at all. I remember the first time I had to get an IV for some stomach tests it took 2 nurses and my husband to hold me down. Why? I decided to act like a child and I started kicking and screaming. At first it was just my husband and the nurse, then when my legs started going crazy they had to call for back up! Okay are you done laughing at me? 🙂
I skipped my first blood test because it never got schedule, and my doctor let me opt out and is having me do it this time so there is one less needle involved.
Enough of my fear! My belly is getting big and people are starting to stop me and give me the look. They are asking me, “How much longer?” I know this makes time go by slower. My husband and I still have a lot to do to prepare for this baby in regards to cleaning, purging, and getting the baby room ready.
I found some great inspiration on the baby room. I used pinterest and I am going with pink and gray. I already have her adorable white wooden letters to spell out her name! They were half off at Hobby Lobby and they are the same ones my daughter has.
Symptoms: I am still really tired. I will be sure to ask the doctor about that next week. My body is starting to hurt. I found if I lean on my belly instead of my side when sleeping at night it feels a little better. Hello, heartburn! Also, the middle of the night charlie horses hurt so bad!
The Baby: My baby is over 2 lbs and probably over 14oz. I am going to start gaining about a lb a week. (I struggle with self esteem issues on the weight gain and I am hating it when I see pictures of myself online.) She has eyelashes, she can blink, and see light!
