Spider-Man: Brand New Day is rated PG-13. This is because of violence and profanity. Some characters, primarily Punisher, cussed quite a bit. There were also large weapons and close combat which may startle young children.

The main themes of the movie are family, loss, and injustice. The movie showed how friends can become family and how those who you have lost can still continue supporting you. It also covers injustice through Sadie Sink’s character and through the actions Spider-Man makes.

Movie Review
Spider-Man: Brand New Day felt like a grounded and heartfelt movie. It did a very good job at balancing Peter Parker’s human struggles along with the difficulties that come with being a hero. The newer characters did an amazing job at introducing Spider-Man to new character dynamics which we haven’t seen in past movies. Along with this, it was a gorgeous movie.
This movie was a refreshing Marvel film which did a wonderful job at reintroducing street level heroes to cinema. This being said, it also led to a lot of intrigue for Sadie Sink’s character and the future she will have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
