Is Zootopia 2 Appropriate for Young Kids?
What is Zootopia 2 Rated?
Zootopia 2 is rated PG for parental guidance. If you have seen the first one, it is similar to the silly and rude humor and comedic violence. Personally, I thought it was great even for young kids!
What are the main themes for Zootopia 2?
The first movie was about racism, stereotypes, and biases. This theme changes a bit about coexisting and getting along with everyone who thinks and is different than you. Although the themes align, they do tell a bit of a different story. This time, the reptiles make an appearance.
Is it too long for younger children?
The movie is very long. It was an hour and 48 minutes. If you have little kids, they are going to need to potty break during the movie, but not because they are bored and not enjoying the movie.
Are there any explicit content or scenes that may not be suitable for my family?
There is some cartoon violence, but the movie is perfect for families and would make a great movie to go with all of your cousins and relatives!
Does the movie have any controversial or sensitive themes?
I didn’t see anything controversial in the film. It has such a good message for families and others. There are some good conversations you can have with your young kids after the movie about loving others.
Does it have a short?
I don’t know! There was a short before our movie about Disney World, but I think it was a really long holiday commercial! LOL My daughter loved it! There was a little scribble character that she thought was great!
Is the movie in 2D or 3D?
YES! You can not only watch it in 2D and 3D, but I actually found out it was filmed for 4DX! This one could be a super fun experience for the young kids to enjoy a moving seat! You can also watch it in Screen X, which is an extended screen on each wall.
Movie Review
I took my youngest daughter and my father-in-law to the advance screening of Zootopia 2! We all enjoyed it! The movie was good, funny, and sweet. Judy, being one of our favorite Disney characters, made us laugh, and of course, her relationship with Nick had us feeling all of the emotions.
If you liked the first movie, you will like the 2nd! It wasn’t better than the first in my opinion because it lacked the newness of the story and the new character. I am not a huge fan of snakes, but Gary was very funny! The little kids in the theater were loving him!
If you are a huge Disney nerd, there were a lot of easter eggs, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
About the Movie
In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2,” rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.
