Preserving Memories: They Should Be shared With Your Kids and Your Grandkids with YesVideo!

I always think that memories are timeless. Until the other I get the blurrier they become. My priceless materials are my photos and videos. My wedding video is on VHS and I don’t even have a VCR hooked up! My baby albums and my parents albums are all yellowing and some pictures are missing from me taking them out and not replacing them. My parents have just about everything and are the hardest people to shop for when it comes to the buying them gifts. I want to get them something that had to put some thought into.

YesVideo – (www.YesVideo.com) is a company that transfers film and photographs to DVD. They will transfer almost any media you have memories on – VHS, Hi8, 8mm, slides, even photographs and memory albums! So all those home movies you cannot watch anymore can finally be enjoyed!

One of the biggest reasons why I haven’t done these is I picture myself sitting there trying to scan every image myself…and I just frankly don’t have the time.

You don’t need much time if you are like me!  If you order an Easy Ship Kit from YesVideo (for $19.99) they will send you two boxes the size of shoeboxes and everything you need to make your memories to YesVideo. You put your memories in the box and drop them off. You can drop off your YesVideo material by just heading to Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco and Meijer.

“Our EasyShip Kit ensures you get your video tapes, film reels, and photos to us in no time at all. We then transfer your VHS tapes to DVD, films reels to DVD and scan all your photos to DVD.” NOW this is more my style! 🙂

NOW I would hurry and get this started because the deadline for shipping your memories to YesVideo is 12/04 or 12/08 for Rush Orders if they want their DVDs back by 12/24. So you will want to HURRY!

This is a great idea! Thank you for posting! It is definitely time to consolidate all of our old VHS tapes into DVDs.

We bought a VHS transfer “device”. Never did figure out how to use it. It would be sooooo much easier to just send them away. Thanks for the info!

Wow I didn’t know you could do that? Making a DVD with a bunch of family memories should really make for a great, sentimental Christmas gift.

I love this kind of service. Some old VHS tapes we haven’t looked at in years. This would be a great way to ‘revive’ an preserve them. Thanks!
