My kids are technological learners! You read a lot about social learners and other learning styles that you wonder if there are other types of learning styles out there. I know that when it comes to the classroom, kids are very into gamification as a type of lesson and a type of learning.
Our newest review product is awesome! It is called OSMO. I introduced it to my 7 year old ad a new game with puzzles! We started with the Tangram games and they are all a blast to play! I was even getting stumped on some of the puzzles!
MOST kids are hands on learners! This toy is perfect for those learners as well!
Our OSMO came with 3 kits:
Tangram: Arrange wooden puzzle pieces into matching onscreen shapes. Play with your child or challenge yourself to more advanced levels with Osmo acting as your mentor by lighting up with each victory.
Words: Be the first to guess and spell out the on-screen hidden word by tossing down letters faster than your friends. A related picture gives the clue.
Numbers: With a counting, addition, concatenation and multiplication mode, there is a challenge for everybody. As kids get more confident in one mode, they can move on the the next one, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
My 2 year old is dying to play with the pieces of the games. She is a little too young, because I know if she touches it, we will lose some of the pieces!
Learning this summer has been a lot of fun with the new technology! If your kids love playing with their iPad and they love games this is a fun one that has them physically moving game pieces around while their iPad responds!
