Growing up in a Catholic school, we use to always watch movies to help teach us the story of Jesus. This new movie, The Young Messiah, is more up to date with a better picture and sound! I was able to watch most of the movie until I had to attend to my family and I thought it was a great family film. Although there were some tough fighting scenes, Focus did a great job at keeping the movie family friendly.
The Young Messiah will encourage your family to think about the story of Jesus. I was able to put myself in Mary’s position and think about my mothering and parenting skills. The movie uplifted my faith as a more visual reminder of the story of Jesus!
With Easter around the corner and the movie playing in select theaters, you might want to plan a date with your bible study friends and your family! I thought this movie would go well with the devotion, A Purpose Driven Life.
