Big Hero 6 TV Show – The Inside Scoop
If you are fan of Big Hero 6 the Oscar winning Disney Animation you are going to be ecstatic about the new show. Big Hero 6 was based on a very old comic about a team of super smart kids who become superheroes with their self constructed robot and made technology suits. In the movie the end of the film is when the entire team comes together for the first time. Now, Disney XD is putting a cartoon show together about what happens after the show is put together and what adventures and new villains they come across along the way.
The one-hour TV movie “Baymax Returns” premieres on Monday, November 20th at 8:00p.m. on Disney XD and Disney Channel.
I had the opportunity to sit the star Ryan Potter (voice of “Hiro”) and Executive Producers Mark McCorkle, Bob Schooley & Nick Filippi.
When interviewing these amazing people we learned tons about the show! There are tons of characters and amazing actors that are part of the show. Stan Lee is back, Andrew Scott (from the BBC Sherlock) is in it, Andy Richter and many more!
We learned that in the movie “Baymax Returns” there are tons of foreshadowing of their season. If you were to watch the entire season twice you would remember and learn so much more in the clues and storyline. “Well, in this especially, there’s little foreshadowing practically to every plot in the first season. There’s little nods to characters you’re gonna meet,” Bob explained to all of us!
We asked about the difference between the movie and the show? Ryan discussed, “I think with the series, we could just have a lot more fun, not to say we put less work into this, because that’s not true at all, but I would go in for a specific scene for the film four, five, seven, eight times, but with the series I go in once to record an episode, and we get to go in the booth and play around with the entire episode. And we throw ideas back and forth, as opposed to me coming in two months later with brand new ideas.”
We asked Ryan about being an actor and making it in this industry and he talked about “the industry” being “tough”. He said he found a really good and tight team that has stuck with him along the way!
Big Hero 6 Baymax Returns New Series Event Monday, November 20 on Disney XD.
Disney XD’s animated series Big Hero 6 picks up immediately following the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award-winning feature film and continues the adventures and friendship of Hiro, the fourteen-year-old orphaned tech genius and Baymax, his very special plus-sized inflatable healthcare companion.
As the new kid at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Hiro faces daunting academic challenges at the prestigious “nerd school” and the social trials of being the “little man on campus.” Luckily, Hiro has his brains, his ingenuity and his best friend bot to help him find his way. But it’s off campus where things get dangerous. Along with neat freak Wasabi, bubbly mad scientist Honey Lemon, fanboy Fred and no nonsense Go Go, the friends form an unlikely, but awesome super hero team – Big Hero 6. Together they face madness and mayhem as a colorful array of science-enhanced villains threaten San Fransokyo.
The one-hour TV movie “Baymax Returns” premieres on Monday, November 20th at 8:00p.m. on Disney XD and Disney Channel. Set in the fictional city of San Fransokyo, 14-year-old tech genius Hiro begins school as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and sets off to rebuild Baymax. However, his overconfidence and penchant for taking shortcuts leads him and the newly minted Big Hero 6 team – Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred – into trouble.

Bay Hero 6 sounds like a cartoon for my older grandchildren. Mom and dad don’t allow much TV although its coming from Disney channel and a comic they probably know as well I see them giving the green light. I really like that the children are the super heroes. I have to remember the base movie is November 20th.
