First off, don’t be looking for spoilers here. Movie Myla isn’t into that kind of thing so you aren’t either!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Review

BUT. . . then how does one review the latest Marvel Movie: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? Very carefully. The reader can’t be given too much plot or details about who shows up so let’s paint a general pic of the newest MCU feature, shall we?

Check out our list of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Quotes!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Review

Doctor Strange/Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a superhero in our universe. He is grumpy, he is conceited, and he is very, very talented.

Before he became the best wizard in the world, he was with Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), a lovely and patient woman who was frankly too good for our aloof hero.

America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), the newest superhero to hit the MCU, walks into Doctor Strange’s life needing help.

Doctor Strange looks to Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) for that help. Wong (Benedict Wong), as the Sorcerer Supreme, is there to assist Strange as well, and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejifor) makes an appearance.

Is that enough? Can we stop there?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Review

Out of pity, Movie Myla is going to dangle some other tidbits out for you.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by none other than Sam Raimi. You may remember him from the first Spiderman trilogy starring Toby Maguire.

But you SHOULD remember him from his Evil Dead movies. This movie trends more to his horrorfests than his wholesome Spidey flicks. There are some dark images and jump scares so be careful if you bring the kiddos.

I will say this, it is the perfect Mother’s Day release. If you remember from WandaVision (and you really must watch WandaVision for this movie to make any sense), Wanda just wants to be a mother to her two children. She will do anything to make that happen.

This movie opens in theaters this Friday, May 6, 2022! You won’t want to miss it.
