When successful businessman Derrick Tyler (Michael Ealy) attends a bachelor party he hooks up with a seductress after being baited by his best friend and partner, Rafe Grimes (Mike Colter). Fatale Review
Things quickly go off the rails for the high-powered Derrick after a violent act in his home. Detective Val Quinlan (Hilary Swank) is sent to investigate the break in. This is a problem for Derrick in more ways than one. What are her motives? What exactly is she investigating? What is her end game?
This movie is very twisty and turny and VIOLENT. It isn’t going to be a great escape from the real world unless you like twisty, turny and violent. And you might. No judgement.
This is one to enjoy without the kids. There is nothing for them here. Director Deon Taylor and writer David Loughery have made a very adult suspense drama. Pour a glass of wine, get comfy on the couch, and enjoy the pretty people and the pretty scenery of Fatale. Oh, and the soundtrack is extremely good, too.
