You might have a lot of questions about the upcoming 2025 movie, David. So the most important question is whether or not your entire family will enjoy the movie. Is David Appropriate for Families? I wanted to know too.
I was excited to screen the movie early to answer all of your questions about the film.

Right now, the movie is on track to be the largest family movie of the Christmas season!
What is the movie rated?
The movie is rated G for parental guidance. It has cartoon violence. It is definitely a movie that you can take your entire family to go and see. I found it educational, and I love watching animations based on biblical stories.
I can relate to movies more than I can when I sit down and try to read verses from my King James Version bible.
What are the main themes of the movie?
The main theme is having trust in God. There were so many chances that David had to stop trusting in God during his journey, but he stayed so faithful through his journey.

Is David a Christmas movie?
This was one of my main questions. Although the movie will be showing during Christmas, it is not a “Christmas movie.” The music and songs are moving and beautiful.
Is the movie too long for little kids?
The movie runs 1 hour and 55 minutes from start to end of credits. I felt that the movie felt a tad bit long a kids who might be ages 7 and under. There is a nice mixture of some cute and funny parts. There is an adorable sister and baby goat that will keep young kids entertained. Okay, they kept me entertained too!
Was it made using AI technology?
No. This movie was made by a lot of different animators.
The cinemotgraphy, gorgeous transitions, and animations truly show artistic talent.
Are there any explicit content or scenes that may not be suitable for my family?
This is a movie based on the biblical story of David and includes some scary scenes with the scary Amalekites and even Saul wanting to kill David. If your kids are used to cartoon violence, then this shouldn’t be an issue.
Does the movie have any controversial or sensitive themes?
No. This is a Christian-based movie.
Movie Review
I found the movie and the music very moving. It was just what I wanted to hear while watching it.
It is inspiring and shows the true strength of David with all the faith he had in God. He was tested over and over again, and his humbleness and ability to love and be a shepherd are exactly what the world needed.
In the newly-released soundtrack HERE, you will for sure love the music!

About the Movie:
In a kingdom torn by fear and corruption, a shepherd boy is called to stand against a giant and the darkness behind him. With nothing but faith, courage, and a sling, he defies an empire and awakens the heart of a nation. From the quiet hills of Bethlehem to the roar of the battlefield, his journey will shape kings, test hearts, and reveal that the greatest strength is found in trust, not power.
