I didn’t know what to expect when reviewing this movie with my 8 year old.  She was really excited to watch a movie about Sci-Fi. I started with the extra features in the DVD and was surprised when the trailer was only in Japanese.  I was happy to find out that the movie was translated for us.  When asking my daughter what she liked the most about the movie, she said when the princess was napping. The movie has lots of color

and the artistic styles are unique to what you would be use to if you watch and read a lot of anime.

But when her father, a talented but mysterious mechanic, is kidnapped for stealing technology from a powerful corporation, it’s up to Kokone and her childhood friend Morio to save him. Together they realize that Kokone’s dream-world holds the answers to the mystery behind the stolen tech, uncovering a trail of clues to her father’s disappearance and ultimately a surprising revelation about Kokone’s family.
