It has really been 15 years since Shrek! I was so excited to introduce my kids to Shrek for this movie! We decided it would only be fun if I turned their lunch GREEN! My 7 year old loved it….my 2 year old cried and wanted green candy instead! I finally had to figure out how to trick her into eating them. I was so excited to share this Shrek 15th Anniversary Edition and Shrek 4-Movie Collection on Blu-ray and DVD!
Shrek 15th Anniversary Edition
My girls LOVED Shrek! It didn’t lose its luster and great story! I love the theme about the beauty of love! Shrek won the first Academy Award for first Animated Feature!
If you are teaching your kids about the beauty within and not to judge others, Shrek is the perfect story with lots of humor and love! Having this movie on Blu-ray really reminds of how much technology and quality of movies have advanced in 15 years! I hope my kids appreciate the advancement of technology as much as I do!
So where is Shrek and Fiona NOW, 15 years later:
With three young Ogres running around the swamp, and his talky pal Donkey constantly popping up out of nowhere, Shrek was left no choice but to try to find inner harmony through yoga and meditation. He’s even tried to get friends to call him by the nickname the Green Swami of the Swamp, but let’s be honest, every now and then he still rages like the big old grumpy ogre that we all know and love.
Fiona spends her free time as an ambassador for healthy living in Far Far Away. Not only does the Fierce Ogre Princess bring her martial arts training classes to local schools, she also has a community garden on the castle grounds that proudly features Ogre-ganic fruits and vegetables. These are produce grown using swamp juice to keep the bugs away instead of pesticides.

I can’t wait to introduce my grandchildren to Shrek. He was one of my daughters favorite all time characters when she was growing up.
Never saw the original one when it came out the first time – maybe now is the right time

I saw Shrek movies and I love Donkey and his cleverness. I want to have a copy of this.
I can’t believe it’s been 15 years! My kids first saw him carved in ice at Opryland’s ICE event.
Wow 15 years who knew this is one of my favs.

Our family has always loved Shrek! The cheeky nods to adult humor are hilarious and the kids love the slapstick comedy angle too!
