17. With all the reading I did as a kid, I can’t believe I never read The Boxcar Children! So many of my friends did, though, and loved them.

23. I remember reading the Boxcar Children as a child and falling in love with the series. I loved how they stuck together but as an adult remembering it now, it was also a great character building book. I have read one or two with my son recently and he really enjoyed it. He felt sad at one point because we read it was raining and the kids had to look for shelter and the smallest child was hungry. He felt compassion and empathy, it says alot about the series when even a child can feel towards fictional characters.

37. I didn’t read them as kids but my kids are in 4th grade as well and they checked them out at the library and read them over the summer and loved them. Be wonderful if I won them and the movie too!!
