My daughter is ten and loves to read. She is a huge fan of dogs. If you asked our family we would conclude that the best author for tweens goes to W. Bruce Cameron. We currently have our own dog who you often read about. We recently had to say, “good bye” to one of our pups. Our love for dogs doesn’t just stop there. My oldest has a bank that we keep in our living room that is for dog donations. We have emptied it to purchase items for dog shelters and this is her way to make a small difference in this world. W. Bruce Cameron has published two new books only a week apart, our whole family can enjoy these captivating novels by W. Bruce Cameron about what it really means to be a good dog, and the lengths people will go to help others. The only thing that my family has to deal with is prying the books out of my daughter’s hands.
When it comes to why W. Bruce Cameron is such a good author, it is because the stories he writes are beautiful, meaningful, and relatable. I know that as a mom, that his books will always be approved reading material for my two girls.

Lily’s Story
We started with reading Lily’s Story. My daughter said, “…it was good and sad and good and sad… It was about a dog who rescued all sorts of animals and almost went to another home. He got to live with the person he wanted to live with and now there is going to be a whole series about the dog, Lily to the Rescue. It had a happy ending.”
My daughter loves W. Bruce Cameron because he writes about dogs!

I absolutely loved A Dog’s Purpose movie! And I didn’t have a chance to get to see the sequel, but I’m hoping to!
I’ve been wanting to see his movies, but I haven’t watched yet. Our most beloved pet out of the 5 we have passed away almost a year ago. He was 16 years old. So, watching dog movies aren’t at the top of our list right now.. lol But hopefully a dog book would help ease us back to into them and help us on our journey of healing =)
