Hotel Transylvania 2 Blu-Ray and DVD (Comment TO win a Prize Pack)
I was provided a review copy of Hotel Transylvania.
You might remember the awesome opportunity I had to take my daughter to Miami to screen Hotel Transylvania 2 and meet with the very sweet Selena Gomez. If you didn’t read that, the movie is very good, not too scary and it kept my 6 year old so entertained that despite having a huge soda and popcorn we didn’t have to take bathroom breaks the whole movie (though we did have to go immediately afterwards!). After returning home she talked to her friends and even her little sister about how much they’re going to love this Hotel Transylvania 2.
A great part of my job is some of the unexpected opportunities and surprises that come my way, and getting a terrific care package from Sony including Hotel Transylvania 2 on Blu-Ray and DVD. Our six year old said “Yay, now we can watch it together” to our 2 year old.
One of the things I mentioned in my review is that the 3D effects added a layer of creepiness to the castle, and while that is true. If you watch on Blu-Ray the graphics aren’t that big of a departure from how we first watched it, and the colors seemed brighter to me watching at home.
I have to admit, I found the movie much funnier the second time, I think when we saw it together in Miami I had my attention divided between the movie and my daughter’s reaction to the movie and either I missed some jokes or they didn’t register like they did when we watched it at home. Even the hubby chuckled at parts (he’s a bit of a curmudgeon (his words not mine) at times so that’s saying a lot).
On the Blu-Ray you get some awesome exclusives. Some sing alongs with Dennisovitch in Monster Scary-Oke, deleted scenes, how to make the scary and silly sounds from Hotel Transylvania 2, How to throw an ultimate Monster Party and even how to draw your favorite characters. The DVD also has some extras if you decide to skip the Blu-Ray.
If you have kids and you and your other half are tired of watching the same things over and over again, give this movie a shot I think you’ll really enjoy it, for us I know it will be a favorite, especially at Halloween.
