What is Paddington in Peru About?

Paddington (Ben Whishaw) finds himself a British citizen while Aunt Lucy (Imelda Staunton) appears to be lost in the jungle in the third installment of the Paddington movies.  Paddington and his family, Mr. Brown (Hugh Bonneville), Mrs. Brown (Emily Mortimer swapped into the role), Judy Brown (Madeline Harris), Jonathan Brown (Samuel Joslin), and Mrs. Bird (Julie Walters) set off on an amazing adventure to the Amazon.

Is Paddington in Peru movie appropriate for kids?

Do jungle bears keep marmalade sandwiches in their hats?  Of course it is!  The flick is rated PG and perfect for kids.  Since it is the third movie in the incredible Paddington trilogy, you will probably want to watch the first two movies.  LUCKY YOU!!!!!  There are reoccurring themes and jokes and a full cast of characters that play with Paddington.  You can still enjoy the movies, but they really do work best as a set.

What messages will kids come away with from Paddington in Peru?

The basic message is that family can be the one you are born into, but it can also be the one you find. Since Paddington is a bear with a huge capacity for love, he is blessed with more than one family!!

Will adults like Paddington in Peru?

Do jungle bears clean their ears with electric toothbrushes?  The answer is, YES!!!  It’s cute.  It’s charming.  It tugs on the heartstrings in all the best ways.  The actors really enjoy themselves and you can tell!  Olivia Coleman as the Reverend Mother steals every scene she is in!!

Don’t make Movie Myla give you one of Paddington’s famous hard stares.  GO SEE PADDINGTON IN PERU!  And stay for the after credits.  One of our favorite Paddington pals shows up.
